Ministry Convictions

Our ministry will be marked by:

Loving Relationships (1Peter 1:22). We know that the love of Christ is growing in our body when we spend more time with each other outside of church events, when we are aware of the struggles others face, when we hear more stories about how we have been blessed by others, and when we experience a great deal of laughter.

Passionate faith (Mark 12:30-31). We desire to be a people committed to practicing out faith with joy and enthusiasm. Our primary passion is to love God, His people, and those He sends us to serve.

Intimate Small Groups (Acts 2:46-47). Small group members invest themselves into one another. They learn to serve others both in and outside of the group with their spiritual gifts. Their activity goes beyond discussing Bible passages to applying its message to daily life. The multiplication of small groups is made possible through continual development of shepherds as a normal by-product of group life.

Gift Oriented Serving (1Peter 4:10) We desire to help our members identify their gifts and to guide them into appropriate ministries. When Christians serve in their area of giftedness, they generally function less on their own strength and more in the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling ordinary people to accomplish the extraordinary!

Empowering Leadership (Romans 14:19). We desire to be a church where members experience a healthy sense of ownership. We want our members to have confidence in the fact that we all share in this ministry. We strive to be a body built on trust and mutual cooperation.

Inspiring Worship (Acts 2:42-43). Our inspiration comes from the Spirit of God. Whenever the Holy Spirit is truly at work, He will have a concrete effect upon a worship service including the entire atmosphere of a gathering. People attending truly "inspired" services typically indicate that going to church can be both meaningful and inspirational.

Servant Evangelism (Matt 25:40). It is the task of each Christian to use his or her gifts to serve those who do not share our spiritual heritage. This is best done by lovingly investing in them as one who has been made in the image of God - and inviting them as an honored guest to our Christ-centered gatherings. A key to personal and congregational growth is for us to intentional engage in the real life world of our neighbors, friends, fellow workers and community.
